MERLIN MARY JAMES

Merlin has more than 3 years of extensive experience in clinical nursing and academics. She is a competent nursing professional, presently working in the capacity of Tutor at Rufaida College of Nursing. Prior to joining Rufaida College of Nursing, she was working with Batra Hospital and Medical Research Centre, New Delhi as Staff Nurse and later as Clinical Instructor. She is a Gold Medalist in the M.Sc. program of 2013-14 batch of Jamia Hamdard, with specialization in Obstetrics and Gynecological Nursing.

She is involved in demonstrating and teaching advanced patient care in classroom and clinical settings to GNM Nursing (Diploma course), Post-Basic Nursing (Graduate course) and MSc. Nursing (Post Graduate course) students. She is associated with Student Nurses Association (SNA), which is involved in nurturing the talents of budding nursing professionals in the capacity of Advisor and also as Research Guide for Post Basic BSc. Nursing Students. She is having thorough knowledge of healthcare environment, safety and nursing quality management principles. Skilled and adept at designing and framing nursing care plans and nursing processes customized to individuals need. She has sound skills in basic and advanced nursing procedures and in depth knowledge of nursing care delivery systems and patient care.

She is a multi talented personality and likes to mentor students to achieve their best in areas other than academics as well. She has been involved in organizing and participating in various workshops, seminars and conferences on plethora of themes at both national and international levels. She is interested in research work in themes related to maternal health in diverse environment.
